Getting matched
How you and an Insider find each other, and what happens first.
How long does it take to get matched?
We introduce you to your Insider within 48 hours of your request. Tell us the city, your budget, your languages and who is coming with you, and we pair you with someone whose experience fits.
What if I don't get on with my Insider?
Tell us and we rematch you. Ratings run both ways on Insidoor, and an Insider who is not delivering does not keep working with us. And the second half of the fee is only due once the job is delivered.
How far ahead of my move should I start?
Four to six weeks before you arrive is comfortable for a full search. A Visit works at any notice — if you have found a place and need eyes on it this week, that is exactly what it is for.
Do I need to speak the local language?
No. Insidoor is English-first: every Insider works with you in English, and negotiates on your behalf in the local language. Many speak more — languages are shown on every profile.
Can you help if I'm moving with family or pets?
Yes, and it changes the match. Family situation is one of the criteria we pair on, so you get an Insider who has handled school searches, family-sized leases or pet-friendly landlords in that city.
What exactly do you match on?
City, language, budget and who is coming with you — the four things that actually change which Insider is right. Beyond that we look at what an Insider has done before: someone who has placed three families in the same district is a better fit for a family than someone who has not.
Can I choose my own Insider?
Not from a directory — we match rather than list, because a wall of profiles pushes the work of choosing onto you at the moment you know the least. If the person we introduce is not right, say so and we introduce someone else.
Do I have to commit when I fill in the form?
No. The form is a request, not a booking. You meet your Insider, agree what the job actually is, and only then decide. There is nothing to pay until that has happened.
What if my plans change after we start?
Dates slip and cities change — tell your Insider. A new arrival date is usually no more than a conversation. A change of city means a new match; if the search hasn't started, your start payment comes back in full.
Can two of us share one relocation?
Yes. A couple or two flatmates moving together is one relocation and one fee, because it is one search. Two people moving to the same city on different leases is two.
What's included
What an Insider actually does — and the things we deliberately do not.
What's the difference between Visit, Starter and Premium?
Visit is a single in-person call at a place you found yourself, with a video walkthrough, a neighbourhood report and a scam check, with a cheaper pack of three. Starter is a full home search: shortlist, viewings, negotiation, lease review, handover and keys. Premium is Starter plus the administrative setup that follows a move — bank, SIM, registration, utilities, healthcare and schools.
Does my Insider actually go to the property?
Yes — in person, every time. That is the whole point. You get a video walkthrough taken on the day, photographs of the things listings leave out, and an honest read on the street, the noise and the neighbours.
Are you an estate agent?
No. We hold no property inventory and we let nothing. Any lease is between you and the landlord or their agent, and your Insider is paid by you, through us — never by a landlord or letting agency for your booking. That is what keeps their advice worth having.
Can my Insider sign the lease for me?
No. Signing is yours, and in most of our cities it legally has to be. Your Insider reads the lease with you, explains what is normal locally and what is not, and flags anything that should change before you sign it.
Is this legal, tax or immigration advice?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. An Insider can explain local practice and walk you through a document, which is not the same as advice. Where a decision carries legal, tax or immigration consequences, take a professional.
How many properties will I see?
As many as it takes to find the right one, within the plan you booked. In a tight market that can mean a long shortlist and several rounds; in a slower one it can be three viewings and done. We do not cap it at a number, because a number is not what you are buying.
What is not included?
Third-party costs are yours: rent, deposits, agency fees a landlord charges, official filing fees, translation and travel. Work outside the plan you booked is not included either — though your Insider will tell you what it would take rather than quietly doing it.
Do you guarantee I'll get a flat?
We guarantee the work described in your plan, delivered to the standard described in our terms. We do not guarantee that any particular property is secured or any application approved, because landlords decide that and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something.
Can I use Visit on a place I've already applied for?
Yes, and it is one of the best uses of it. A scam check and an honest walkthrough before you send a deposit is the cheapest insurance in this whole process.
Pricing & payment
What it costs, and why.
Why does the price depend on the city?
Because rents and the effort behind a search do. A fee that is fair in Prague is not fair in London. Every city carries its own published fee — pick your city on the pricing page and you see the number you would pay, before you start. See the fee for your city →
Do you take a commission on my rent?
No. No commission, no percentage of the lease value, no success fee. The fee is fixed and published before you book, and it is the only thing we charge you.
Is the fee per person or per move?
Per move. A couple or a family relocating together is one relocation and one fee — the search is the same search whether one person or four are moving into the flat.
What currency are fees in?
Fees are published in euros. Your card or payment provider may apply its own conversion or charges on top, and applicable taxes are added where required.
When do I actually pay?
Not until you have met your Insider and agreed the brief. A Visit is paid in full when you book it. Starter and Premium are paid in two halves: 50% when you book, and 50% on delivery — once the lease is signed and the keys are in your hand on Starter, once the setup is finished on Premium.
Can I upgrade from Starter to Premium later?
Yes. People often book Starter, find the flat, and then discover that the registration and the bank account are the part they actually dread. You pay the difference between the two plans for your city.
Do you offer refunds?
Cancel before the search has started and your start payment is refunded in full. Once the work has started, the start payment is kept and the second half is simply never due. If an Insider does not deliver, we rematch you at no extra cost.
Is there a discount for a second move?
Talk to us. We would rather keep someone who moves every couple of years than win them once, and repeat moves are cheaper for us to run.
The two payments
When each half is due, what counts as delivery, and who gets paid when.
How is the fee split?
A Visit is paid in full when you book it. Starter and Premium are paid in two equal halves: 50% when you book, once you have met your Insider and agreed the brief, and 50% on delivery.
What counts as delivery?
On Starter, the signed lease and the keys in your hand. On Premium, the full setup finished: bank, SIM, registration, utilities, the healthcare and school search, and your first-week orientation. The second half is due then, and nothing more after it.
Does my Insider get paid before the job is done?
Half of their share, when you book. The rest only when the job is delivered — so what they are paid always lines up with the work done.
What if the job isn't delivered?
Then the second half isn't due. Tell us, and if an Insider cannot deliver we rematch you in the same city at no extra cost; you pay the balance only once the job is actually done.
Why does the Insider get half?
Because they do the work that cannot be done remotely, and a split that thin on their side would show up in how the job is done. Half of every fee is theirs, paid on the same two dates you pay: half at the start, half on delivery.
Is my payment secure?
Payments are handled by our payment processors, Stripe and Airwallex. We receive confirmation and the last four digits of a card — never the full number, which never touches our systems.
Your Insider
Who they are, how they work, and what they are not.
Who are Insiders?
People who actually live in the city and know it the way a neighbour does. They are independent contractors, not our employees, and not agents for any landlord — they are paid by you, through us.
How are Insiders vetted?
A verified identity, evidence of their years in the city, and a call before they take any work. New Insiders start on visits and viewings, and only take full relocations once they have a record behind them.
How quickly will my Insider reply?
You agree how you will keep in touch when you first talk — most people use WhatsApp — and your Insider works in their own timezone. If someone goes quiet on you, tell us and we step in.
Can I talk to them before I book?
That is the intended order. We introduce you, you talk, you agree what the job is — and only then is there anything to pay.
What if my Insider goes on holiday mid‑search?
They tell you before they go and we cover the gap, either by pausing at a natural point or by handing the active parts to another Insider in the city. Your payments are unaffected either way.
Can I hire my Insider directly and skip the fee?
Please don't — our terms ask you not to take an Insider you were matched with off the platform for twelve months. It is also a bad deal for you: off-platform there are no published fees, no pay-on-delivery second half and nobody to rematch you.
Safety, trust & disputes
What protects you when something goes wrong.
How do I know a listing isn't a scam?
Because someone stands in it. The single most common rental scam is a property that does not exist, is not available, or is not the lister's to let — and all three fall apart the moment a real person turns up at the address. That check is what a Visit is.
What if the flat isn't what the walkthrough showed?
Tell us, with the walkthrough as your evidence — that is part of why it exists. Where an Insider misrepresented what they saw, that is on us and we will deal with it. Where a landlord changed something after the visit, we will help you take it up with them.
Are reviews real?
Ratings come only from completed jobs, they run in both directions, and we do not delete a bad one because someone asked.
What happens if we disagree about something?
Come to us first — most disputes are settled faster by email than by anything else. Write to hello@hereici.com and we will respond within two working days. If the dispute is about delivery, the second half isn't due while we look at it.
Should I ever pay a landlord before viewing?
No. A deposit before anyone has been inside is the shape almost every rental scam takes. If a landlord is pressuring you to wire money before a viewing, that pressure is the warning.
What if I have to cancel because the move falls through?
Jobs collapse and visas get refused. Cancel before the search starts and your start payment comes back in full; after that it is kept, and the second half is never due. Tell us early.
Paperwork & settling in
The part after the keys, which is usually the part people underestimate.
What does the Premium setup actually cover?
Opening a bank account, a local SIM, residence registration, utilities and internet, and a healthcare and school search — plus a first-week orientation in the city. It is the list of things that each take an afternoon and a language you do not speak.
Do you help with visas?
No. Immigration is a regulated business in most of our cities and it is not ours — we will not put your status in the hands of someone unqualified. Your Insider can tell you which documents a landlord or registration office will ask to see, which is a different thing.
I can't open a bank account without an address, and I can't rent without a bank account.
This is the single most common deadlock in a move, and it has a local answer in every city — a particular bank, a particular order, a particular document. Knowing that answer is roughly what an Insider is for.
Can you help before I arrive?
Most of the search happens before you land — that is normal, and many people sign a lease without having been in the country. The setup items generally need you present, so they are sequenced for your first week.
What about a guarantor or proof of income?
Most markets want one or the other and each has its own workaround: a deposit-replacement scheme, a company letter, several months up front, a local guarantor service. Your Insider will tell you which of these a landlord in that city will actually accept.
Do you help with moving my things?
We are not a removals company and we will not pretend to be. Your Insider can tell you who is decent locally and be at the flat when the van arrives, which is often the harder half.
Cities & coverage
Where we are, and what happens when we are not there yet.
What if my city isn't listed?
Tell us where you are going on the Request a city page. We open cities where there is demand and someone good on the ground, and a request is the strongest signal we get for both. Request a city →
How do you choose new cities?
Demand first, then whether we can find an Insider there we would trust with your move. The second is the harder half, and it is why we would rather cover the cities we do properly than a hundred badly.
Is there more than one Insider per city?
In our larger cities, yes — and it is what lets us match you on language and on who is coming with you rather than simply on the map.
Do you cover the suburbs, or just the city?
The metropolitan area, not the postcode. If people commonly commute into the city from a town, that town is in scope — and in several of our cities it is where the sensible family housing is.
Account, privacy & data
What we hold about you, and who sees it.
What does my Insider see about me?
Your name, your brief — city, budget, dates, family situation, languages — and your messages. Not your payment details. They are contractually required to use it only for your relocation and to delete it when the job is done.
Who runs Insidoor?
Insidoor is operated by ANJMEN Limited, registered in Hong Kong. Our terms are governed by Hong Kong law.
Do you sell my data?
No. We share it with the processors that make the service work — payment and hosting — and with authorities where we are legally required to, and no further.
Can I get my data deleted?
Yes. Write to hello@hereici.com and we will respond within one month. Some records we have to keep for a period regardless — financial records in particular — and our privacy policy sets out exactly how long and why.
Do I need an account to get started?
No. The request is a form, and after that your Insider and our team keep you up to date by email and WhatsApp. When a payment is due we send you a secure link to pay it — there is no client account to create. The log-in on this site is for Insiders.
For Insiders
If you are the one who already lives there.
How much can I earn?
Half of every fee is yours, paid half when the client books and half on delivery (a Visit in one go). What that comes to depends on your city and whether the client booked a Visit, Starter or Premium. Pick your city on the Become an Insider page to see your half. See what you would earn →
Do I need to do this full time?
No, and most do not. A Visit job or a viewing is an afternoon each, which is why new Insiders start there. You pick which briefs you take.
What do I need to apply?
That you have lived in the city for at least three years, that you hold an ID we can verify, and the languages you actually speak. No CV and no form: message Eva on WhatsApp from the Become an Insider page and she takes it from there.
How long does it take to get on the platform?
Most people go from first message to their first paid visit in under two weeks: a WhatsApp chat with Eva, a twenty-minute call, a link to register, then work as soon as your city has it.
When do I get paid?
In two halves: half your share when the client books, the rest on delivery. A Visit pays out in one go once it is done, which is part of why it is where new Insiders start.
Do I need a licence to do this?
It depends on your city, and it is your responsibility to comply with local rules where they exist. We will tell you what we know of the position in your city, but we are not your lawyer.
